Thanks to internet and to the low cost of digital recorders, anyone can put his music at the disposal of the public, with a good sound quality. This allows many modest African musicians to transmit their art directely to the spectator.
These are some tracks I recorded in Mars 2000 in Bamako, Republic of Mali. Click on the one you want to hear or save:
01track0.mp3: 7 min. and 19 seg. (6858 kb)
02track0.mp3: 4 min. and 2 seg. (3789 kb)
03track0.mp3: 9 min. and 16 seg. (8678 kb)
07track0.mp3: 11 min. and 15 seg. (10549 kb)
08track0.mp3: 2 min. and 29 seg. (2324 kb)
09track0.mp3: 59 seg. (934 kb)
I have edited a CD with traditional African music recordered in September 2000, that I give for free with each traditional or modern djembe you buy. The musicians are the manufacturers of the traditional djembes.
